STUDIO RULES
Eldon Audio Recording Studios are available to book by students studying
Music Technology at the University of Portsmouth
Create your account on this site using your university email address and use it to keep track of all your bookings
There are three separate 3-hour sessions available to book during the day for each of the three studios.
They can be booked via this website or by visiting the technicians office
You MUST arrive on time. Failure to do so may mean you cannot attend your session
Please note our facilities are not currently open evenings or weekends
You can book two consecutive slots at a time (i.e 9am & 12pm OR 12pm & 3pm).
You cannot book an entire day unless you have express permission from the Studio Manager beforehand
You may only have 4 booked sessions live at any time within a one month period
Booking enquiries - either email or webchat - are picked up by the Studio Technicians within normal office
working hours only. Please don’t expect a response outside of these times.
Busier periods around unit deadlines are very common so please keep this in mind
At least 24 hours notice is required to cancel a Studio booking (unless you are unwell)
Please provide all information in your booking enquiry regarding what you plan to do during the session.
This includes which microphones, instruments and other equipment you need (see TECH SPEC)
As soon as you have finished your session; pack everything down and tidy the studio.
Return all booked equipment within your allotted time
Please inform a Studio Technician when you are leaving
The 5 pods do not require booking. They can be used as required if available between 9am & 6pm.
E.A.R.S MUST BE USED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER!
- No food or drink in any studio control rooms whatsoever
- Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is not permitted
- Arrive and pack down well within your allotted time
- Keep the studios clean and tidy
- Use equipment and instruments in a safe, professional way
- Report any problems to a Studio Technician immediately
- Leave the studio fit for the next user
You are responsible for what happens during your session so ensure any
other students or invited guests behave appropriately.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR
STUDIO PRIVILEGES BEING REVOKED
